A small wildlife rehabilitation center
in the heart of Rhode Island
At Wild Things Rescue Cove in Warwick, RI we’re dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing wildlife in need. We work directly with the Wildlife Clinic of RI, acting as hub within the vast network of rehabilitators across Rhode Island. The Wildlife Clinic of RI is the only emergency care provider for wildlife in the state, providing full veterinary services to animals in need and placing them with the appropriate long-term rehabilitators.
Specializing in small mammals, Wild Things Rescue Cove in Warwick cares for squirrels, rabbits, opossums, and other furry friends that find themselves in distress. We also help Congress of the Birds with their abundant flow of sparrows and starlings.
Wild Things Rescue Cove receives ongoing education and guidance from the Wildlife Clinic of RI, where all injured animals are taken for full veterinary care including bloodwork, x-rays, and recovery plans.
Our mission is to provide these wild creatures with the best chance at returning to their natural habitats. Join us in protecting the wild things that make our world so vibrant!
What We Do
Raise Orphans
Raising orphaned animals is a delicate and rewarding process that requires patience, knowledge, and compassion. We specialize in providing care for these creatures, ensuring they receive proper nutrition, warmth, and socialization. Releasing them back into their natural habitats is always the primary goal.
Rehabilitate Injured Animals
We provide the medical care, nourishment, and safe environment needed for these animals to heal and recover. From setting broken bones to treating infections, every step of the rehabilitation process is designed to restore their strength and independence.
Transport Animals
We understand the urgency of transporting injured or orphaned mammals to the care they need. We provide safe and compassionate transport to the Wildlife Clinic of Rhode Island or to home rehabilitators who specialize in specific species. There are never enough transporters - reach out to the Wildlife Clinic of RI to volunteer!
